Called the “Sexiest philologist in the world” by New Yorker Magazine, Marina Orlova is known to millions of fans around the world as the sexy master of language and creator of HotForWords Youtube show. In each video, the buxom blonde with an alluring Russian accent takes requests from viewers and explores the origins and meanings behind various words and phrases we all use in everyday life. Of Marina, The Moscow Times said: "Marina exploits her blonde-bombshell looks to the maximum: she appears in her two-minute clips scantily clad, pouting and making doe eyes. This is surely the main factor in her success. However, while the number of scantily clad girls on the Internet is limitless, not all of them put so much intellectual effort into their success.” In Bloomberg interview, Orlova explained how she got viewers interested in words: "How else could I attract them to words? Everyone knows that sex sells."
Marina hails from Russia and has two degrees in Philology (the study of linguistics and origins of words). She burst onto the new media scene and has since reached almost 500,000,000 views on Youtube with her 670 video lessons.
She was a regular guest on Fox Network’s O’Reilly Factor Show, was voted the hottest woman in Tech by Complex and the World’s #1 Sexiest Geek by Wired.
Marina has appeared in New York Times and Los Angeles Times, The Moscow Times, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, FHM, G4’s Attack of the Show, The Early Show on CBS.
Marina’s book Hot for Words was published by HarperCollins in 2009. She was a featured speaker at EG Conference, a community of brilliant innovators.
She also hosted a bi-weekly radio show on Maxim Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio and launched online video series with Bankrate.com, a leading publisher, aggregator and distributor of personal finance content on the Internet.
Marina is also a prolific artist. She graduated from the School of Painting in Arzamas, founded by the artist Alexander Stupin (1776-1861) at the age of 17. It was the first private provincial art school in Russia.
